Enjoying the sunshine...

Today it was 65 degrees out!!! I couldn't stay inside so we decided to go to play at the bluffs, well, he played I took pictures. :) I'm trying to figure out depth of field and I think I finally figured it out today...here's those pics
And here's just some cute one's of the bubbs... he was so happy out there throwing rocks and playing with the sticks... I could hardly keep him still or even look at me! He was so happy out there...I love this kid!

Jaemen a little scared of Chuckie Cheese...

Last night Jaemen went to his friend Hayden's 4th birthday. Jaemen has known Hayden since they were about 3 months old, they are great friends! Jaemen had so much fun, and cried when we left, it's so nice that I can finally let him just stroll around and not feel like I have to watch every move he makes. Sometimes these feelings, of never getting out of a "certain" stage with him really get to me. But, last night I felt like we've crossed a bridge. Not that I can just leave him to run and play, but at least I don't have to be all over him all the time when he's playing. He took turns with random kids, gave high fives to some boys and played air hockey with two typical boys. It was so precious! Now, if he could just talk...lol

And, about talking...sigh...I think Jaemen might have something called Apraxia, I'm not quite sure how to explain it but it impares his quality of talking. Like he can say the word "eat" but when he says it, it sounds more like "t." And with Apraxia you sometimes miss the beginnings or ends of words...here's a video of him talking..(excuse the messy basement, the kids have taken it over...)

I think that's about all for now, I'm off to take the boy to the park and take some more pictures to try out some new things I've learned....

Today I was just messing around with some new photo ideas while we were waiting to do Alana's pictures (and of course I bribed my daughter to be my subject.) I like using the ring flash that we just got but I'm not sure if it's blowing out Hailey's face a little too much, but here's a few that I took today...

Beautiful Alana

This is little Alana who Hailey likes to call her "little sister!" She's a dancer at Hailey's dance studio and is also going to be entering a photogenic contest so she needed head shots and I had the honor of doing them today! She did great and is so fun to shoot. Recently Judah and I got a new toy, it's called a ring flash. Well, I used it today and had some good luck with it. It was a little heavy but worth it! Let me know what you all think...
